Pump Asset Register
Atlantic Pumps supply and maintain abrasive pumping and slurry transfer equipment to quarries and recycling facilities throughout the UK & Europe. We worked with Atlantic Pumps to develop an industry-leading asset management platform that helps their customers oversee their pumps.
Customer Sites
Assets Managed
Forward thinking industrial pump supplier Atlantic Pumps take a creative approach to servicing their customers. Their considerable growth can be attributed to their mission and values:
This refreshing, customer service led mission allowed Atlantic Pumps to look at how they could offer more to their customers. Offering a way to record and report on assets at a site and company level was what their customers had been asking for.
Atlantic Pumps came to Magnifica with a set of requirements for building a hosted asset management platform for the quarrying sector. They would offer this as a value add service, free of charge, to their customers.
After analysing the user and technical requirements it was mutually decided that our rapid application development platform Fibre was a perfect fit for the project. The next step was to look at how users would interact with the platform and also what data needed to be collected.
Once the needs were documented and a wireframe of the proposed system was signed-off our developers set about building and testing the software.
Lookup data and customer records were imported before launch so that Atlantic Pumps and their customers could hit the ground running logging and managing existing assets.
Deploying the Pump Register to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform means resources can be allocated and plans scaled-up and down to meet demand.
After launching the Pump Asset Register it was quickly adopted by Atlantic Pumps customers. Logging pump particulars and recording pump events and services ensures both Customers and Atlantic Pumps have quick access to asset details. This has improved visibility, reporting and issue resolution times greatly.
Introducing the platform was extremely positive and the benefits were seen immediately. Building on this success a number of further customer experience features have been added.
Magnifica and Atlantic Pumps continue to work together. As an extension project we have developed a IoT Real-time Pump Monitor.
We are really pleased with the user-friendly, robust asset register magnifica have built for us. We have made some major improvements & it is now being used by our sister companies in Australia and Argentina. The instant access to accurate information has made a significant improvement to our customer service offering and has led to us securing additional orders.
