Repairs Management System
As AAG plan to expand the repairs department they needed a software development partner to build them a custom repairs management systems. The solution Magnifica developed for AAG Systems allows them to provide an industry leading IT repairs service to their customers.
Devices Managed
Time to repair
After AAG Systems won a large contact with a global slimming organisation to supply and maintain over 12,000 devices.
AAG Systems needed a software partner to develop a bespoke platform to support their repairs process, and increase efficiency in the department. The platform also needed to be scalable to support their future growth plans.
Magnifica immediately set about advising on how AAG could use software to save time and improve efficiency by replacing manual systems. Ultimately we wanted to help AAG improve the service they offer to their customers.
After a period of consultation and workshops with key users we fully understood the current repairs process. Our experts then took these findings and re-worked the process. We removed complexities and simplified the steps an engineer needs to take to complete a repair.
We also looked at the various integration points and 3rd party interactions within the process. From here we were able to propose a solution built on our Fibre Platform with the following features:
The web application we produced is hosted on an AAG server and can be accessed from the internet using any modern web browser. Integration with barcode scanners means that users can quickly scan an asset and see its detail including any open repairs it might have.
Our collaborative approach meant key users where part of the development process, an approach that ensured the system we delivered is truly what the users needed to make their jobs easier. This in turn is reflected in the service AAG offer to customers.
Key to the success of the project was the system's ease of use - after just 1 short training session AAG engineers were using the system to process live repairs.
The system immediately transformed the way AAG manage repairs allowing them to rapidly reduce the backlog and quickly identify when an asset is beyond economical repair. With AAG set to expand their repairs division this project is a successful first step in ensuring this growth. The Repairs Management System we delivered is built to change and adapt as needs change.
Overall this was another successful collaboration project between AAG Systems and Magnifica. We are already working together to extend the functionality of the system to improve process further and bring even greater benefits.
Magnifica were able to identify our requirements and work with us to achieve our needs. Their attention to detail and knowledge played a key part in the success of the project. We have several other projects that we hope Magnifica will be playing a key role in. Here at AAG we are really excited about this progressive partnership with Magnifica they show forward thinking and an innovative edge that integrates with AAG perfectly.
